Annual Meeting May 7 – Board Members Needed – Pool Opens May 1

First, our annual membership meeting will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, in the Library at Strawberry School, 2311 Horseshoe Drive.

Nominations will be taken for the new board and there will be a chance to ask questions about ANYTHING related to our neighborhood.

Board Members Needed

THREE VACANCIES need to be filled on the new board to be nominated at the May meeting. If you’re interested, please leave a message on the RGHA voice mail at 547-9848 or send an email to [email protected]

The board meets once a month for about 90 minutes. It’s a good way to get together with your neighbors, find out what’s going on that affects all our homes and air your own ideas about how things should be handled.

Pool Opens May 1

Summer’s almost here and the RGHA swimming pool will open May 1. Keys will be distributed at the May 7 meeting to all owners whose dues are paid up. If you want your key sooner or can’t attend the meeting, please contact Gail Simons at 526-3526. There’s no charge when you turn in last year’s key in exchange for the new one. Otherwise, it’s $5 to cover the cost of updating the locks and making new keys.

Holiday Decorations

Remember the year-end festivities? There’s still time to check out the neighborhood’s holiday decorations from December. Lots of homes put up cheerful displays. To see a few of them in a color slide show click here.

Neighborhood Notes

Do you have plastic outdoor chairs you could donate for the RGHA pool area? Attrition has taken its toll on the chairs and replacements are needed . . . Please take a look at your shrubbery and trim back any trees or bushes that obstruct vision for cars and pedestrians, thanks . . . A reminder – Don’t forget to lock your doors and keep an eye on things. Break-ins have been reported in the neighborhood . . . Our quiet streets can be hazardous when cars roar through. Please remember not to speed. Little kids and elderly people use the streets, too. The speed limit on our streets is 25 miles an hour.
