Minutes of Annual Membership Meeting of Ridgeview Gardens Homes Association
May 11, 2004

The meeting opened at 7:19 p.m. in the Multimedia Center of the Strawberry School.
Thirteen homeowners attended.
Association President Martin McReynolds presided.
Also in attendance was Board Member Linda Vargas.

Linda issued pool keys to homeowners at a table near the door as Martin outlined the agenda for the meeting, which consisted of the election of new board members, reports from current board members and a question-and-answer session.

Martin reported on Association finances as essentially sound despite sizable expenses for pool repairs during the year. He reported that the Association Web site is now up and running, with the intention of making it a unifying element for the homeowners and a means of better communication. He also reported on the work of the committee on revision of Bylaws and CC&Rs, saying it is nearing completion of the revision, which involved going over every article following the rejection of the previous revisions. He said the final result will be submitted to homeowners for discussion before being put to a vote.

No candidates came forward to replace the two outgoing board members although a number of ballots were turned in authorizing proxy votes when the candidates are named.

Homeowners asked a number of questions and made various comments on subjects ranging from the swimming pool and the behavior of young people using it, to the report that a homeowner on Brookshire Circle is renting out three rooms of the house with a changing set of guests. It was suggested that the board consult with Santa Rosa city attorneys about how to deal with the issue. A suggestion was also made that the Web site be used for posting the search for a bookeeper for the Association. Discussion was held of organizing a work party to clean up the pool area but no date was set for one.

The meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
