Minutes of February Meeting
February 13, 2012
6:06pm Meeting called to order by RaeAnn Thurlow, Pres.
Attendance:
Chris Petrus, treas; Michel Stamoulis, VP; Gail Simons, secy; RaeAnn
Thulow, pres; and Martin McReynolds, newsletter writer.
Minutes of the Jan. 9, 2012, board meeting were approved as written.
Treasurers Report:
- A custom summary report was circulated. PG&E bill noted to be
much less than in past. Possible reason, Jeff Thierry (new pool service) re-set outdoor
lighting timer. (Please note that he was also to reset the hours of winter pump
operation.) About 50 people still owe dues. One member owes $695 current and past
dues. MOTION by Gail, 2nd by RaeAnn that Gail send a certified letter of warning (based
on those previously sent by prev. treasurer, Dave Coyle) to the homeowner before
beginning the lien process. Motion passed-all ayes.
Old Business
- Web site- Gail contacted Nancy at NuDesigns. 6 Christmas photos of the
neighborhood would be about 1 hours work at hourly rate of $115. Our
site is older, so it takes longer to do the work. Site could be rebuilt for
about $5,000. We could update the new website ourselves. We will ask
Martin to put out a request for assistance with website in our April
newsletter.
- Tree pruning- John of Affordable Tree Service (who did our last pruning)
is out until March after knee surgery. Gail will contact him in late Feb. to
make sure he will be able. Perhaps we could highlight the pruning project
on our next newsletter.
- Painting of bathrooms- tabled, though several members were interested
in volunteering for a work day in the Spring.
- Job descriptions- Revised versions (attached) were presented by RaeAnn.
MOTION by Gail 2nd by Chris to approve them as written. All ayesapproved.
RaeAnn will contact Barbara Thomas and Michael Martinez for
signatures.
- New member packets- The board will ask Martin to put an appeal for
assistance in the April newsletter. Maybe this could be part of a new
website. Michel had the idea of a simple card, directing new members to
the website.
- Complaint about neighbors on Calavaras. Agreed to continue to wait and
see, since there have been no further complaints. (Property owner did not
respond to letter from board.)
No new business.
Meeting adjourned at 6:47pm.
Next meeting will be March 12, 6pm, at Starbucks on Yulupa Ave.
Respectfully submitted, Gail Simons, secretary.
