2005 Pool Rules
June & July,
2005
No Smoking in the Pool or Common Area
PLEASE
- No smoking in the pool area or the rest of the common area (lawn
and trees outside the fence). These are areas for all to enjoy,
including families with small children.
Barbecue at the Pool
All Homeowners are invited to gather at the swimming pool at noon Saturday, July
16, for a community barbecue and get-together. Hamburgers, hot dogs and sodas
will be provided. Please bring a side dish to share. The barbecue will last till
the food is gone and beyond, for whoever wants to sit around and enjoy meeting
and chatting with the neighbors.
Work Morning
Also July 16, please turn out at 9 a.m. to help prune trees, remove weeds and
clean up the pool area. We’ll knock off at noon to enjoy the barbecue.
If we all pitch in, nobody will sweat too much and it’s a good chance to
work together with your neighbors.
New Board Elected
Voting for the RGHA Board produced the following totals:
Number of valid ballots returned: 155, well over the 128 needed as a quorum of
the 250 Homeowners.
Voting for the candidates who volunteered to fill the three vacancies:
Gail Simons 148
Brad Connors 142
Janaize Markland 141
The Board chose Brad as president for 2005-2006, with Janaize as vice president
and Gail as member at large. Michel Stamoulis continues as secretary and Dave
Coyle as treasurer.
Results of the informal poll on two questions added to the ballot:
Pool hours – 76 owners said they like the current hours (7 a.m.-10 p.m.
daily during the summer, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on school nights after classes start,
QUIET TIME from 9 to 10 p.m. during the summer).
Owners with no opinion: 55
Owners who want the hours changed: 18 (divided between some who would like longer
hours and others who want shorter hours).
Action to enforce Association rules:
68 owners approved the current level
of enforcement.
Owners asking for more enforcement: 52
Owners who want less enforcement: 2
No opinion: 24
Enforcing the Rules
The Board interpreted the poll on enforcement as indicating a significant desire
for greater action, compared to the number who want less action.
Board members will survey the neighborhood for obvious violations of Association
CC&Rs and city codes regarding such things as cars left on the street indefinitely,
boats and large vehicles parked in front of houses, yards overgrown with weeds,
etc. Letters to the Homeowners involved will point out the appropriate rules
and request cooperation.
